Seeking Written Public Comments on BSCC Strategic Plan Goals
The BSCC has begun the strategic planning process to guide its work for the years 2022-2026. The new strategic plan is scheduled to begin Jan. 1, 2022 and end Dec. 31, 2026.
Public comment is an important and valuable part of the process.
The first step in developing the 2022-2026 Strategic Plan is to identify the overarching organizational goals. As a starting point, the Board will re-examine the BSCC’s existing goals that it drafted to guide the agency from Jan. 2, 2018 through Dec. 31, 2021 during the upcoming strategic planning workshop along with public comments received through this process.
The BSCC currently is seeking input from the public to identify changes, modifications, or additions to these goals that should be considered. View the BSCC 2018-2021 Strategic Plan.
The BSCC is launching the public input process by focusing on only the overarching organizational goals for 2022-2026. If you would like to comment, the BSCC will be seeking written comments through Survey Monkey from Monday, March 3, 2021 through Friday, March 19, 2021 at 5:00 pm PST. Participate in the Survey.
The public comments will be presented to the BSCC Board at a strategic planning workshop in April or May 2021 and will help the Board guide the goal-setting process. The Board workshop will be a public Zoom session.
Once the goals are made final, the second step in the strategic planning process will be to identify the objectives that must be met to achieve the goals. At that step, the BSCC will seek additional comment about objectives that should be considered. That listening session has not yet been scheduled, but a general timeline is available.
