This dashboard offers interactive filters to refine the data displayed in the visualizations. These filters are interconnected to ensure only relevant options appear based on your selections.

Grantee Filter: Select a specific grantee from this filter to view data pertaining only to that organization.

Quarter Filter: Choose a specific quarter from this filter to focus on data from a specific timeframe.

Default View: If you leave both filters unselected, the visualizations will showcase data for all grantees and all quarters combined.

This dashboard serves as a platform for monitoring the utilization of CalVIP grant funds in supporting evidence-based violence reduction initiatives. Data is sourced directly from quarterly progress reports submitted by each CalVIP grantee.

Caveats:

There are several caveats to keep in mind when reviewing these data:

• The trends visualizations reflected in the dashboard are subject to change over time as data are updated or revised.
• While multiple grantees may provide the same type of program or service (e.g., case management, hospital-based violence intervention, substance use disorder treatment, etc.), the implementation and methodologies used by each grantee may differ.
• The services provided vary by grantee. Not all grantees provide all services.
• Grantees started services at different times.
• Grantees are required to use CalVIP funds to support, expand and replicate evidence-based violence reduction strategies “that seek to interrupt cycles of violence and retaliation in order to reduce the incidence of homicides, shootings, and aggravated assaults. (Pen. Code, § 14131, subd. (c).)
• The BSCC strives to ensure data accuracy through verification efforts. However, some margin for error remains.
